Tips and Tricks

Size Wise: Take the time to savor the flavor of this special treat that can be included in a balanced diet on occasion.
Special Extra: Add a row of OREO Cookies for the flag pole.
Substitute: Prepare using small white star-shaped sprinkles.
Substitute: Prepare recipe as directed, substituting melted white candy coating wafers for the red candy coating wafers, dipping the cookie balls in the white candy coating before drizzling with the melted red candy coating.
Note: If candy coating becomes too thick to coat the cookie balls, add up to 2 tsp. shortening to the melted candy coating wafers before using to coat the cookie balls.
